New Artistry Sessions for 2017

Ch-ch-ch-changes!!!  It's the way of life and as everyone knows, things change all the time.  The goal is to keep growing, keep moving and never stop!  As you know, we took a short break from our Artistry sessions after our beloved Tina moved her family to NC.  But never fear!  We have regrouped, added Elizabeth to our team, and have re-imagined the Artistry Series for 2017!

The goal of our Artistry Series is to create unique and special themed sessions each month that Capture the Magic of Childhood.  And we have some truly incredible things planned for the next 6 months!  We will have images and dates to share very soon - but here is just a peek into what we have planned:

April:  Glitter Dazzle - Surrounded by glitter, these gorgeous portraits will truly capture the joy and sparkle of your little one.  Simple, beautiful and glitzy, we will use our studio lights and actual shining, sparkly glitter to get the best smiles and most dazzling images!

Also in April:  Special Super Hero Event - Back by popular demand, we will don our Superhero Gear and save the day!  (Capes and masks provided!)

May:  Carousel Wonder - A true spring beauty, the carousel horse is so stylish!  Your little one can sit atop a beautifully painted carousel horse in her finest attire, surrounded by ribbons and bows. A top hat would be the perfect accessory for the dapper young man who attends as well! Springtime never looked so fine! 

June:  At the Carnival - Join us at an actual carnival for a bright, colorful, entertaining time!  Using the incredible games and rides as our backdrop, we'll eat cotton candy and show just how fun it is to be a kid during the summer!

July:  Beach Bliss - Sandy toes and salty kisses make for the best portraits! We'll have a beautiful tent set up on the beach to capture your little ones with seashells and big waves - just what you want to remember from your children's summer adventures!

August:  Unicorn Magic - If your child believes in magic, this might just be their most favorite experience EVER!  We've found a farm with an actual unicorns!  Okay, so these mini-horses will LOOK like unicorns to your little ones, so that counts, right?  A truly magical time will be had by all!

Our new sessions come at a new price, too.  $99 reserves your spot. Once you see all of the pictures, you can choose to order more digital images, printed pictures (for framing or gifts), or even a small album to commemorate these beautiful, magical portraits!  Digital images start at just $50.

Light, Pose & Profit Workshop Reviews

I have had such an awesome time meeting the photographers who come to my Light, Pose, & Profit Workshops!  I've been amazed and humbled by those who choose to travel across many states to come learn from me at the studio and I do not take the responsibility lightly.  For many of these photographers, investing in this type of workshop is an expense that they can only afford to do once in a long while.  For some, this is the only workshop they will ever take.  I structured this workshop to attempt to be so complete that a newborn photographer would never need to take another in order to run a profitable photography business primarily shooting newborns.  We cover newborn posing, safety, client communication and prep, lighting, prop selection, post processing, structuring a business, pricing, marketing/advertising, studio management, and more.  I provide food and drinks and sometimes even a bit of entertainment.  :) Here are a few reviews from some of our last class participants:

Artistry Portrait Club & The Woodland Fairy Tale Session

~Capturing the MAGIC of Childhood~

Our first Artistry Session offering will be held the afternoon of Saturday, February 21st in Chesapeake, VA.  We will have fairy tale elements to add to your child's portraits so that they are truly magical - for boys, we have a cape, various crowns, a sword, a scepter and a dragon!  For girls, we have dresses in various sizes (or your little one can wear her own pretty dress) and we have crowns, fairy dust, and a frog to kiss.  :)  These are not your typical 'minisessions' - we have turned childhood imagination into a reality and will truly be capturing the magic of childhood!

There are two ways to book!  First, you can join our Artistry Portrait Club by clicking on the Subscription button below which will sign you up for the first 6 months of amazing artistry sessions (see all the themes and details here) and get all the extra sessions and images that comes with being a member of our portrait club.  Subscribing authorizes recurring payments of $199/month for 6 months (Feb-July) and there are no refunds or rescheduling (even if you are unable to attend on the date of that month's Artistry Session - some months will have more than one session for club members!)  

**Edited to Add:  You can sign up now or start March 1st for the sessions between March and July.  Then, we will not accept Portrait Club members again until summer when we will open the next 6 month subscription (for Artistry Sessions July-Dec).  Obviously if you sign up now, you will have a 6 month subscription and then can renew for the August-December sessions in July!
